Ozzy Osbourne has made it official. The Prince of Darkness will release his new solo album, “Ordinary Man,” on Feb. 21.
Ozzy broke the news yesterday (Jan. 9) via Twitter, stating that his new album, which marks his follow-up to 2010’s “Scream,” would be available for pre-order later that night. The new slowly broke around the globe, as each pre-sale went live, that “Ordinary Man” would hit fans’ ears on Feb. 21.
In addition to the pre-order announcement, Ozzy also released the “Ordinary Man” album cover, which is creepy and menacing in true Ozzy fashion, featuring the metal icon wearing dragon wings and a bowler hat (see above).
“Ordinary Man” is set to feature a slew of big names, including Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith and Guns N’ Roses bass player Duff McKagan on the majority of the release. The set also features guest appearances from Slash and Elton John. So far, Ozzy has released three new songs off the set: “Under the Graveyard,” “Straight to Hell” and, as of today, his collaboration with John on the album’s title track.
