Tesla will release a new live album, “Five Man London Jam,” featuring the band’s 2019 performance at the legendary Abbey Road Studios in London

It’s turning into a busy year for the Tesla crew. The ’80s rockers not only have a summer tour on the way with Alice Cooper and Lita Ford, but they also just announced the release of a new, live album.

The new set, titled “Five Man London Jam,” was recorded at the legendary Abbey Road Studios in London, England, in June 2019, when the guys performed for one night, serving up popular songs from their catalog, including “Love Song” and “What You Give,” as well as some cover tunes and, for the first time live, the band’s new song, “California Love Song,” from the band’s new album, “Shock.” The band’s performance was filmed in 4K high definition as tribute to their platinum album “Five Man Acoustical Jam,” according to a statement from the band.

“Five Man London Jam” will arrive on March 27 and be available on Blu-ray, 2LP vinyl, CD and digital via Ume. The Blu-ray also features a bonus interview with Tesla, where the band — which currently features Brian Wheat, Frank Hannon, Jeff Keith, Troy Luccketta and Dave Rude — talks about the 30th anniversary of “Five Man Acoustical Jam” and performing at Abbey Road Studios.

Listen to the lead single off the set, “What You Give (Live),” below.

Tesla’s tour with Alice Cooper and Lita Ford will kick off on April 1 in Peterborough, Ontario, and run through a June 27 date in Clarkston, Michigan, near Detroit. The band is currently performing on the Monsters of Rock cruise in Belize, Central America, through today (Feb. 13), and also has some headlining shows up ahead.
