Knotfest has kicked off a weekly live video performance on Facebook, and the first edition features Lamb of God performing at Resurrection Festival in 2019
Knotfest, the music festival and tour founded by Slipknot, is doing their part to entertain homebound fans during the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
Knotfest — which includes Knotfest Festivals, Knotfest Roadshow Tours and Knotfest at Sea — will post a full, live performance from a Knotfest band or artist every Friday on their social media pages. Select days, band members will also live chat with viewers.
The first installment aired yesterday (March 27th) and featured a 2019 performance of Lamb of God at Resurrection Festival in Spain. Guitarist Mark Morton also hosted a live chat during the premiere. Check out the performance and chat via Facebook.com/KNOTFEST.
“When we are unable to physically come together to do this, for the sake of the common health and safety of all – Knotfest is going to keep the celebration going,” festival organizers said in a statement.
In addition to the performances, Knotfest will be posting links to but merchandise that often “would have been sold on tours that have been canceled or postponed,” with a portion of the income from the same of the merch donated to COVID-19-related charities.
