Due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, British heavy metal band Iron Maiden is pushing off their Legacy of the Beast tour to next year

Iron Maiden has made the decision to postpone their massive Legacy of the Beast tour until next summer due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) crisis.

The news came from the British heavy metal band’s manager, Rod Smallwood, who published a note on the group’s official website, stating, “Due to the continuing health issues Worldwide around Covid-19 we regretfully inform you that Iron Maiden will now not be playing any concerts until June 2021.”

The majority of the band’s European concerts have now been rescheduled for June and July. As for the openers on the trek, Smallwood says, “We are in the process of inviting back all the Special Guests and supports who were due to play with us this year. Where any band is unable to commit to this due to their own rescheduling situations, we will look at finding other suitable acts of equivalent stature.”

Iron Maiden’s 2020 festival dates will not be rescheduled, because they already had festival commitments lined up for 2021.

The band’s leg of the tour that was set to launch in Australia in 2020 and travel to Asia and the Middle East will now happen in 2022.

“The band are all fine and send you guys their best wishes, they are very much looking forward to getting back on stage next year and seeing you all so, please, continue to take care of yourselves and stay SMART,” Smallwood said.
