Two full days of music and art will take place during the debut Slay at Home virtual metal and art festival
Headbangers can get their metal on at home this weekend, as Slay At Home, a two-day virtual metal and art festival, is scheduled for Friday and Saturday (May 29 and 30) with a plethora of musical performances.
The virtual music and art festival will feature performances by Trivium frontman Matt Heafy, Bush vocalist Gavin Rossdale, Suicide Silence, Tesseract, Darkest Hour, Twelve Foot Ninja, Khemmis, Spotlights and more.
The event will also offer collaborative performances with members of Megadeth, GWAR, Stone Sour, The Dillinger Escape Plan and others.
Slay at Home will also feature art installations and appearances by Testament vocalist Chuck Billy, comedian Don Jamieson, Anthrax drummer Charlie Benante, Orange Is the New Black star Jessica Pimentel and more.
Metal Injection editor Frank Godla is the brainchild behind Slay at Home.
“I’m trying to look at the bright side of our current situation, and not only make this an entertaining way to see the artists you love flex their creativity in new ways, but hope this event acts as a place of discovery for every viewer out there,” he said in a statement. “Finding a band or artist to fall in love with is the mark of a great festival to me, and it’s my honor to share the work of these amazing individuals I curated because I’m passionate about them.”
The free livestream is set for 3 p.m. EST both days and will raise funds for the MusiCares Covid-19 Relief Fund and Global Giving Coronavirus Relief Fund.
