Foo Fighters Offering 25th Anniversary Merchandise Capsule
Foo Fighters are celebrating their 25th birthday with a merchandise capsule that shadows the band’s first year together
Foo Fighters want to take fans back 25 years to the start of their storied career. The Dave Grohl-fronted rock band has created a new line of merch to honor the Foos’ 25th anniversary.
The collection features a variety of limited edition items, including Foo Fighters hats, shirts general memorabilia, all of it inspired by “each full-length studio album and then some.”
“To celebrate Foo Fighters’ 25th anniversary, we have curated a special collection of items that honor each full length studio album and then some,” the band said in a statement. “The art used is a combination of new designs, previously archived designs, artwork from album packaging (some that may have never been printed on merchandise before), or a re-imagination of existing art.”
Foo Fighters will add more new items to the collection as the year progresses. The first capsule is available now in Foo Fighters’ official web store.
Foo Fighters were planning to tour in 2020 on a special, 25th anniversary with the U.S. Van Tour. The trek was supposed to take the band across North America and have them play in the same cities Foo Fighters played on their first tour in 1995. The trek was first postponed to fall of 2020 and eventually canceled due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
