Wesley Schultz of The Lumineers will take on famous tunes from Counting Crows, Coldplay, Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen and more with his new solo album, “Vignettes”

Wesley Schultz, frontman for The Lumineers, will release a solo covers album this Friday (Oct. 30). The set, called “Vignettes,” is Schultz’s debut solo debut and features new versions of songs originally by Coldplay, Bruce Springsteen, Bob Dylan, Counting Crows and Sheryl Crow.

“I was introduced to a lot of music through other artists, listening to their covers and then going backward,: Schultz said in a statement. “So part of this record is the joy of exposing something that you know is beautiful, while trying to make it your own so that they both can stand on their own two feet.”

“It’s almost like you’re showing people your personal playlist, your inspiration,” he added.

Schultz isn’t the only one from The Lumineers releasing new music. Jeremiah Fraites, who co-founded the band with Schultz, will release his debut solo album, “Piano Piano,” on Jan. 22, 2021. The release will be piano-driven and an instrumental record.

The Lumineers’ latest recent studio album is 2019’s “III.”

Wesley Schultz’s ‘Vignettes’ Track List:

“My City of Ruins” (Bruce Springsteen)
“Downtown Train” (Tom Waits)
“Green Eyes” (Coldplay)
“If It Makes You Happy” (Sheryl Crow)
“Mrs. Potter’s Lullaby” (Counting Crows)
“Bell Bottom Blues” (Eric Clapton/Bobby Whitlock)
