Pop Evil Announce ‘Versatile’ New Album Details

Pop Evil will release their sixth studio album, “Versatile,” on May 21, featuring 12 original rock songs

Michigan rockers Pop Evil have dropped more details about their upcoming “Versatile” album. The record, which marks the band’s sixth studio release, will arrive May 21. “Versatile” will mark the follow-up to Pop Evil’s 2018’s self-titled studio album.

“Versatile” will feature the previously released singles “Work,” “Breathe Again” and “Let the Chaos Reign,” as well as a handful of new, original songs.

In advance of the new album, Pop Evil have also released a new song called “Set Me Free,” which is available now via digital outlets. In a collective statement, the band says the new track “embodies the challenging times the world has faced this past year.”

“We are very proud and humbled to see our current single ‘Breathe Again’ trending Top 5 on the Rock Radio charts, and the video being embraced by our fans,” the band added. “We can’t wait for you all to hear the rest of the album, as we feel it’s our strongest to date.”

Pop Evil hail from West Michigan and features lead vocalist Leigh Kakaty, lead guitarist Nick Fuelling, rhythm guitarist Dave Grahs, bass player Matt DiRito and drummer Hayley Cramer. While the band was forced to stay off the road last year due to the pandemic, Pop Evil’s next tour date in the books is Aug. 6 at Soaring Eagle Casino and Resort in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan, along with fellow modern rockers Shinedown and Theory of a Deadman.
