Motley Crue’s Stadium Tour will kick off in June, 2022, also featuring Def Leppard, Poison and Joan Jett

After much speculation, it’s official that the Motley Crue reunion tour, dubbed The Stadium Tour, will be pushed into 2022. The tour, which was supposed to happen in 2020 but was postponed until 2021 due to the ongoing pandemic, is now slated for summer of next year.

The tour was also slated to feature Def Leppard, Poison and Joan Jett and the Blackhearts, and all original acts will appear on next year’s bill. The trek marks Motley Crue’s first time on the road since performing what they said would be their final shows of all time on New Year’s Eve back in 2015.

At the time, the members of Motley Crue promised fans that they would never tour again, even signing an agreement to that effect. However, following the success of 2019’s “The Dirt,” a biopic about the formation and career of Motley Crue, there was renewed interest in the band, which enticed them to come out of retirement.

“This is the only way to ensure that we can play ALL of the dates for ALL of you who have purchased tickets,” Motley Crue say in an official statement. “We appreciate you hanging in there and can’t wait to get back on stage and bring The Stadium Tour to all of our fans. It is going to be one for the history books!”

The newly announced shows begin June 16, 2022, Atlanta, Georgia, and wrap up Sept. 7, 2022, in San Francisco. For ticket information, head to Motley.com.
