Kiss have officially returned to the road after postponing a handful of tour dates due to Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons contracting COVID-19

Classic rockers Kiss embarked on the latest leg of their End of the Road world tour, but the band was forced to postpone a number of shows due to members Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons both contracting COVID-19. Now, Kiss have officially returned to the road, starting with a show last night (Sept. 9) in Irvine, California. The group has also rescheduled several dates that were pushed back due to Stanley and Simmons getting sick.

As previously reported, just a few gigs into their tour, Kiss announced that Stanley tested positive for COVID. By the time Stanley was over the virus, Simmons tested positive, resulting in the group postponing even more shows.

Now, Kiss are back and ready to rock. The band released a statement stating that following a 10-day quarantine, doctors have advised the band that the tour can continue, starting with the gig last night. The statement adds, “the rest of the tour dates remain unchanged… The band has worked hard to reschedule postponed show dates to the best of their ability. Due to routing and availability, the show dates in Hartford, CT, Milwaukee, WI, and Raleigh, NC will be postponed to 2022.”

Five of the postponed shows will take place at the end of the Kiss’ current tour leg, from Oct. 10 to 17, 2021. The other dates in Hartford, Milwaukee, and Raleigh will be rescheduled for next year. View Kiss’ updated tour schedule below.

Both Stanley and Simmons have stated they were fully vaccinated against COVID-19 going into the tour. “Everyone on the entire tour, both band and crew, are fully vaccinated,” Kiss said in a statement, adding that the tour has a special, COVID safety protocol officer on staff full-time to make sure “everyone is closely following all CDC guidelines.”
