Foo Fighters Release Entire 2021 Madison Square Garden Show: Watch

Watch Foo Fighters’ full Madison Square Garden performance, featuring both new songs and the classics
Earlier this year, Foo Fighters performed a historic show at Madison Square Garden, marking their first big gig back after taking a hiatus due to the global pandemic. If you weren’t able to get to the Foo Fighters event, the band has released a video featuring pro-shot footage of the full show.
The Foo Fighters concert was on June 20 and marked the return of live music to Madison Square Garden, as it was the first concert at the venue in almost 500 days. The last concert at the venue was back in March of 2020, before the world shut down due to the pandemic. To attend the Foo Fighters gig, fans had to show proof of full vaccination, with the final dose administered at least 14 days before the date of the concert.
Foo Fighters rocked a length set of 24 songs that night, according to Setlist.fm. The selections included four songs from their latest album, 2021’s “Medicine at Midnight,” including “Shame Shame,” “No Son of Mine,” the self-titled track and “Making a Fire.” The show ran two-and-a-half hours long, and Foo Fighters have uploaded the full concert to their official YouTube channel. Watch the event, which also featured a surprise appearance by comedian Dave Chapelle for a performance of Radiohead’s “Creep,” below.
The Madison Square Garden gig ended up being a big payday for Foo Fighters, as the band sold a massive 15,371 tickets for the event, bringing in more than $1.4 million in gross revenue. According to Billboard, “Across 662 shows reported since 2015, MSG’s average cap is 15,140, a couple hundred seats less than [the Foo Fighters] show.”
As for the future, Foo Fighters’ first concert of 2022 is scheduled for the Innings Festival in Tempe, Arizona. Following that show, they’ll travel to South America for a tour and also have some festival performances sprinkled throughout the year.
