Ozzy Osbourne, Brandi Carlile Among Big Rock and Metal 2023 Grammy Winners
Ozzy Osbourne took home the 2023 Grammy Awards for Best Metal Performance and Best Rock Album
The 2023 Grammy Awards are being given out Sunday (Feb. 5), and winners in the rock and metal categories have been announced. A total of four awards comprise the rock and metal categories, including Best Rock Performance, Best Metal Performance, Best Rock Song and Best Rock Album.
Ozzy Osbourne was actually nominated in each of those heavy music categories. As it turns out, he won big, with the Prince of Darkness taking home the Grammy Awards for Best Metal Performance for Ozzy Osbourne featuring Tony Iommi on “Degradation Rules” and Best Rock Album for Ozzy Osbourne with “Patient Number 9.”
Brandi Carlile took home the Grammy Awards for both Best Rock Performance and Best Rock Song for “Broken Horses.” Going outside of the rock and metal, Best Alternative Music Album went to Wet Leg’s self-titled album, while Best Alternative Music Performance went to Wet Leg with “Chaise Longue.”
