Linkin Park Release Previously Unreleased Song, ‘Lost’: Listen
Listen to the never-before-released Linkin Park song, “Lost,” from the “Meteora” era
Linkin Park are coming up on the 20th anniversary of their seminal “Meteora” album on March 25. In honor, the band has announced “Meteora 20th Anniversary Edition,” an expanded reissue of the original, sophomore album. The set drops on April 7, and ahead of its release, the group has shared the previously unreleased song “Lost.”
“Lost” is a song from the “Meteora” sessions that didn’t make the record. Listening through, “Lost” is completely representative of that 2003 “Meteora” area, offering catchy electronics, heavy guitars, melodic vocals and dark, introspective lyrics from the late, great Chester Bennington. It’s one of a whopping seven unreleased songs that will appear on “Meteora 20th Anniversary Edition.”
“Finding this track was like finding a favorite photo you had forgotten you’d taken, like it was waiting for the right moment to reveal itself,” Linkin Park co-vocalist Mike Shinoda said in a press release. “For years, fans have been asking us to release something with Chester’s voice, and I’m thrilled we’ve been able to make that happen in such a special way. I think they’re going to be floored when they hear and see all the incredible unreleased songs and video footage in METEORA|20.”

A “Limited Edition Super Deluxe Box Set” versions of the 20th anniversary release includes “Lost,” the six unreleased tracks, plus “demos, b-sides, live shows, and never-before-seen behind-the-scenes footage” in five vinyl LPs, three DVDs, and four CDs. It also features a 40-page book, a poster, a lithograph, a sticker sheet, a stencil, and a hi-res download card. The anniversary edition is also available as a deluxe vinyl box set or a deluxe CD set. Pre-orders are available in various configurations here.
