Fear Factory are about to embark on the “Rise of the Machine” tour with a new vocalist

Longstanding industrial metal band Fear Factory have announced that Milo Silvestro will serve as their new singer. He takes the place of founding frontman Burton C. Bell, who split with the band back in 2020.

“It’s time to introduce the world to our new vocalist,” guitarist Dino Cazares said in a press release. “The search was long and meticulous, but I know for sure we got the right guy.”

Silvestro added, “This is a huge opportunity for me. I’ve been a fan of the band for many years and it feels very surreal but I’m excited to be part of it. I know I have some massive shoes to fill but I’m here to do it in the best way possible and give justice to the vocal legacy of this legendary band.”

The news comes right before Fear Factory hit the road on a North American tour with Static-X. The trek kicks off this Saturday (Feb. 25) in San Francisco.

Cazares added that this is a crucial time for Fear Factor. In a statement, he said, “It is a big week for us in Fear Factory as we make our final preparations for our return to the live stage touring across the US, beginning February 25th on the ‘Rise of the Machine’ tour. We can’t wait to get out on the road and start kicking some a**.”

Also, Dope frontman Edsel Dope recently spoke with Audio Ink Radio about the “Rise of the Machine,” which features Dope, Fear Factory, Static-X, Mushroomhead, and Twizted. “It was just really natural, to be honest,” Edsel Dope told Audio Ink Radio of the new bill. “…Back in the early days, we toured so much together, so we feel like it’s a good package and connection to those fans who probably discovered these two bands the same night back in 1999 or 2000.” Check out Audio Ink Radio’s full interview with Edsel Dope here.
