It’s hard to beat a great rock or metal duet. Now, German metal music icon Doro and Rob Halford of Judas Priest have teamed up for a gorgeous duet of the Judas Priest classic “Living After Midnight.”

Both singers have quite a legacy in the heavy metal genre. Doro is the longtime frontoman of German’s Warlock, who were one of the most celebrated metal bands of the 1980s. Halford fronts one of the biggest metal bands in the world, Judas Priest, and has a successful solo career with his project, Halford. Moreover, adding Doro’s vocals to “Living After Midnight” brings new life to the Priest classic. It’s certainly a treat for metal fans.

“Judas Priest and Rob Halford have always been one of my biggest inspirations and continue to be my heroes,” Doro said in a press release. “It was so great working with Rob. ‘Living After Midnight’ has always been one of my favorite songs and I’m so proud of our duet!”

The “Living After Midnight” cut will be featured on Doro’s upcoming album, “Conqueress – Forever Strong and Proud,” 20-track release that brings together heavy metal covers with some new, Doro originals. Listen to Doro’s cover of “Living After Midnight” with Rob Halford below.

Doro caught up with Audio Ink Radio in a recent interview to talk about women in music. Furthermore, she says she has always felt welcomed and respected as a woman in music. “It felt totally natural,” Doro exclaimed about being a female in metal in the 1980s. Despite what others might say, “It wasn’t a big deal to me,” she added. “I love metal, and I love the fans, so I always felt really accepted. I was treated really great with all the touring… It didn’t really matter that I was a woman or where I was from. I think music is about that.”
