Ozzy Osbourne and the guys of Black Sabbath have unveiled the first official trailer for Black Sabbath Back to the Beginning farewell concert. The clip, which runs just 40 seconds, teases the livestream of the show, which Black Sabbath is making available since tickets for the actual gig sold out right away. Plus, there’s the reality that the show is in the United Kingdom, so many fans won’t be able to make the trek out there to see it in person.

During the trailer, a message flashes on the screen, stating, “Your prayers answered,” as in, yes, you can watch the show at home. The video starts with a massive shot of a crowd singing along to Ozzy on the stage, and then, the video shows fans tweeted and commenting, asking about a way to watch the show from home. Then, Ozzy comes on the screen, and the video states, “It’s time to go back to the beginning.”

The rest of the video shows an energetic-looking Ozzy and Black Sabbath with various clips from the group’s history. The video also calls the concert “the biggest metal event of all time.” We’re not sure if we agree that it’s the biggest, but it’s certainly up there. View the initial trailer for the Back to the Beginning livestream below.

The Back to the Beginning concert will bring together the original band members of Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler and Bill Ward onstage together for the very last time in their hometown of Birmingham, England at the Villa Park venue on July 5.

Is Black Sabbath Really Retiring?

This is really the end of Black Sabbath. Tony Iommi recently told Music Week, per Louder Sound, that this show will really mark the end of the band and that there will be no one-off reunions. “This show has come up because of the situation [with Osbourne’s illness] and because it’s a charity thing,” Iommi said. “But there’s no way we could go out and do a tour.”

In addition to Ozzy and Black Sabbath, the lineup will feature Ozzy’s solo band, Metallica, Slayer, Pantera, Gojira, Halestorm, Alice in Chains, Lamb of God, Anthrax, Mastodon and Rival Sons. While those are the main performances, many other musicians will also be there, including Tom Morello, Billy Corgan, David Draiman, Duff McKagan, Fred Durst, Lzzy Hale, Jake E. Lee, Jonathan Davis, K.K. Downing, Mike Bordin, Papa V Perpetua, Rudy Sarzo, Sammy Hagar, Slash, Sleep Token II, Wolfgang Van Halen, Steven Tyler, Soundgarden, Andrew Watt, Chad Smith, Vernon Reid, Whitfield Crane and David Ellefson.

The livestream will be broadcast from Birmingham’s Villa Park. Ozzy is expected to perform a short set and also appear with his Black Sabbath bandmates one last time.

The pay-per-view Back to the Beginning global livestream will start at 3 p.m. BST on July 5, and the livestream will be available to watch for another 48 hours.

“We had such an overwhelming demand from fans from around the globe, who couldn’t get tickets to the show, and they took to social media, pleading with us to broadcast a livestream of the show,” Sharon Osbourne said in a statement. “Being this is such a historic event, we just couldn’t let them down.”
