Second annual Carolina Rebellion set for May
Summer festival season is right around the corner, and Carolina Rebellion has announced its 2012 lineup. Shinedown, Evanescence, Staind, Slash, Korn and Five Finger Death Punch are among the headlining acts for the May 5 event at the Rockingham Speedway in Rockingham, N.C. This year, the annual festival is adding weekend RV and tent camping to the accommodations, plus a special Friday Night Campground Party featuring Foxy Shazam. So, if camping and radio-ready modern rock are your thing, this could be the summer stop for you.
Chevelle, Volbeat, Halestorm, P.O.D., Adelitas Way, Paper Tongues, Weaving the Fate, Redlight King, Red, New Medicine and Ghosts of August are also confirmed for the event, which is in its second year.
“It is an absolute honor to be the headliner at such an amazing festival,” Shinedown voice Brent Smith said in a release. “It’s been a minute North Carolina…It’s good to be back. We can’t wait to see the masses at the Rebellion!”
General admission tickets go on sale to the public starting Friday, Feb. 17, at 10 a.m. EST via Carolina Rebellion’s official website and Ticketmaster. An internet pre-sale starts Wednesday, Feb. 15, at 10 a.m. EST and runs through Thursday, Feb. 16. By the way, if the festival’s rollout seems familiar, it might be because Carolina Rebellion is produced by Right Arm Entertainment and AEG Live, the same team behind Rock on the Range in Columbus, Ohio.
