Watch Jack White perform ‘Love Interruption’ and ‘Sixteen Saltines’ on ‘SNL’

Former White Stripes main man Jack White took his talents to ‘Saturday Night Live’ this past weekend, making his first national television appearance in support of his upcoming solo album, “Blunderbuss.” Mr. White performed a high-energy version of his new single, “Love Interruption,” and also debuted a pummeling, battering, raw and rowdy album track cut called “Sixteen Saltines.” Meanwhile, actress Lindsey Lohan hosted the show. Watch both of White’s performances at the end of the page.

“Blunderbuss” arrives April 23 via White’s own label, Third Man Records, in partnership with Columbia Records. White taped the collection at his own Third Man Studios in Nashville, and he says the album’s songs were completely “written from scratch” and “had nothing to do with anyone or anything else but my own expression, my own colors on my own canvas,” in a release. The album’s debut single, “Love Interruption,” was released last month and is available online and on 7? vinyl, the latter packaged with a non-album B-side called “Machine Gun Silhouette.” With all of White’s success in the White Stripes, the Raconteurs and numerous other bands, we can’t help but wonder, “What took so long, Jack?”

White is also touring in support of “Blunderbuss.” His upcoming run sets off March 10 in Chattanooga, Tenn., and hits a handful of North American cities before winding down May 26 in Quincy, Wash., at Sasquatch! Music Festival. White is also scheduled to play Radio 1?s Hackney Weekend in June in the U.K. Check out White’s current tour itinerary via his artist page.
