Rolling Stones hint that they’re recording new music

Last week, the Rolling Stones hinted that they’re prepping “something big” for their 50th anniversary via a post on their official Facebook page. Now, Rolling Stone has a few details about the brewing development and why Mick Jagger was working a Paris studio last week.

A photo of Jagger gripping an electric guitar was posted on both the Rolling Stones’ and Jagger’s official Facebook pages this week, along with a message that read, “Had fun in the Paris studio this week!” Rolling Stone claims that all of the band members were photographed exiting a recording studio in Paris on Aug. 21. What’s more, the Stones posted another note on their Facebook page today stating that, “Some exciting news will be revealed next week, and a chance to win some incredibly special prizes.” What the guys of the Stones are working on remains a mystery, but let’s cross our fingers that it’s good!

In other Stones news, arestored version of the Rolling Stones’ 1966 tour documentary “Charlie Is My Darling — Ireland 1965” will premiere on Sept. 29 at the 2012 New York Film Festival. Look for the show to play at New York City’s Walter Reade Theater. For the many fans who can’t make it out to New York for the premiere, the flick will also arrive on DVD, Blu-ray and as part of a special box set on Nov. 6.
