Watch Coheed and Cambria’s new music video for their track ‘The Afterman’

Coheed and Cambria are on target to release the second installment of their double concept album, “The Afterman: Ascension,” on Feb. 5, 2013. To get fans starting to think about the release, the guys have unleashed the video for “The Afterman,” which comes off the first installment of the series.

The video for the song depicts the Afterman’s wife, Meri, witnessing her husband’s spaceship blowing up and crashing into the ocean. After seeing her husband fall into the ocean, Meri heads out into the ocean to find him, and the unavoidable love story ensues. The two reunite in a romantic embrace, and true love prevails. In other Coheed and Cambria news, in addition to the double concept album, the group will release a special vinyl album, “The Afterman: Ascension (Big Beige Demos),” on Black Friday (Nov. 23) in honor of Record Store Day. The set features demos demo recordings of mainly acoustic versions of each track from “The Afterman: Ascension,” which the guys recorded in singer Claudio Sanchez’s home studio.
