Best Rock and Metal Grammy Nominees Announced

Mastodon, U2 and Arctic Monkeys are among the 2015 Grammy nominees
The nominees for the 57th Annual Grammy Awards are out, including those in the rock and metal categories. While many of the nominees are up-and-comers, the Grammys didn’t leave out veteran rockers. Some of the nominees for next year’s honors include Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, U2, Gregg Allman, Johnny Winter, Metallica, Anthrax, Motorhead and Pink Floyd. Neil Young and the Grateful Dead are up for Best Boxed or Special Limited Edition Package prize.
Best Rock Album nominees include Ryan Adams, Beck, the Black Keys, Tom Petty and the Heartbrakers and U2. Those vying for Best Rock Performance are Ryan Adams, Arctic Monkeys, Beck, the Black Keys and Jack White. Best Metal Performance nominees are Anthrax, Mastodon, Motorhead, Slipknot and Tenacious D.
The 57th Annual Grammy Awards will take place on Feb. 8, 2015, at Staples Center in Los Angeles.
