It’s official: Tool will tour in 2016

After teasing fans for a bit on their Tool Facebook page, the guys of Tool have ended the speculation and officially announced a handful of 2016 tour dates. Their tour will kick off on Jan. 9 at the Viejas Arena in San Diego and wrap up Jan. 26 at the Bojangles Coliseum in Charlotte, N.C.

Maynard James Keenan and company have only unveiled eight tour dates so far. Fans hope more follow.

Tool dramatically posted a teaser announcement shortly before making the 2016 tour dates official.

“The impenetrable veil of my dark scrying mirror finally cleared today — enough so, in fact — that I could perceive a large heptagram on a complexly lit stage where four performers were dwarfed by dramatic video projections,” the band stated. “Evidently the sonic and visual extravaganza that I was receiving is a rare glimpse of future Tool U.S.A. tour dates in the month of January, 2016.”

Tool have stayed off the road for most of this year. Their only show was at the Monster Mash Music Festival on Halloween night.
