
Green Day will reissue ‘Nimrod’ in honor of the 20th anniversary of the release
When you think of Green Day albums, chances are “Dookie” comes to mind first. But, the band has notched plenty of other chart-topping releases, including “Nimrod.”
“Nimrod” turns 20 this year, and in honor, Billie Joe Armstrong and the guys of Green Day will reissue the album as a two-LP, individually-numbered collection on Oct. 13. Pre-orders for the collection are being taken now a GreenDay.com.
“Nimrod” – which originally arrived on Oct. 14, 1997 – packs such Green Day favorites as “Good Riddance (Time of Your Life),” “Hitchin’ a Ride” and “Nice Guys Finish Last.” Since its initial release, the album has been certified two-times platinum.
In other news, Green Day are currently on the second leg of their North American tour to promote their latest studio album, “Revolution Radio.”
