Pearl Jam Gives First Look at Documentary
Pearl Jam fans have tolerantly waited for any hints or teases about Pearl Jam’s upcoming documentary, Pearl Jam Twenty. Now, the first full trailer for the Cameron Crowe-directed documentary has finally arrived, and it truly shows the life inside the Seattle grunge rockers.
In about two and a half minutes, the video show a small peak into over 1,200 hours of footage from the Pearl Jam archive, including an interesting Q&A between Eddie Vedder and David Lynch, footage from early rehearsals and a long series of stage antics. The movie will premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival on Sept. 10, 2011, and arrive in major cities on Sept. 20. Can’t make those shows? PBS will also air the special as part of their American Masters series on Oct. 21.
Pearl Jam will also host their own music festival, PJ20, Labor Day weekend festival at Alpine Valley Music Theatre in East Troy, Wisconsin, with special guests the Strokes, Queens of the Stone Age, Mudhoney, Joseph Arthur, John Doe of X and many more.
