The Chariot Release Vinyl LP of ‘Long Live’ in August
Scream the Prayer Tour Features the Chariot, Norma Jean, Sleeping Giant
Former Norma Jean vocalist Josh Scogin keeps busy making metal with his new project, the Chariot, which present a punk-y, metalcore mix with a roar.
The Atlanta group will release a new vinyl LP version of their album Long Live August 2, and they recently posted a fresh track off the release, “Music of a Grateful Heart,” on their official Facebook page. (Just “like” the page to listen.) The original Long Live album — the band’s fourth studio release — dropped in November 2010.
The vinyl LP packs in exclusive silk-screened, hand-numbered jackets. Hot Topic will offer a white version of the vinyl with black spatters; The Good Fight store, the band and other local retailers will sell the record black with white spatters. The bonus track, “Music of a Grateful Heart,” will also be included in the package and for sale on iTunes and all other major digital outlets as a single.
It seems Scogin is still tight with his former band mates in Norma Jean, since they’re on tour together. The Scream the Prayer Tour runs through the end of July, featuring the Chariot, Norma Jean, Sleeping Giant, War Of Ages, Close Your Eyes, Texas In July, I The Breather, The Great Commission, As Hell Retreats and Sovereign Strength.
