Debut Single Shows Five Finger Death Punch Fans Are Ready for New Material
Five Finger Death Punch last stormed rock radio with 2009’s impressive War Is the Answer, and now the Los Angeles men are back with the follow-up, American Capitalist, out Oct. 11. Judging by the early response from the single, fans are digging the new tracks, seeing that the song, “Under and Over It,” is the most added new song at active rock radio this week and the No. 1 song on the iTunes rock chart.
As for the band’s tour plans thus far, Five Finger just announced a headlining slot on the “Share the Welt Tour,” combined with All That Remains, Hatebreed and Rev Theory. The tour announcement was such big news, Five Finger’s site actually crashed this week from an overkill of traffic after tour details spilled out. The band will announce more dates in September, so check back if they aren’t hitting your city yet.
Five Finger Death Punch recorded American Capitalist at “The Hideout” studios in Las Vegas with Canadian producer Kevin Churko (In This Moment, Ozzy Osbourne). The band’s last album, War Is the Answer, debuted No. 7 on the Billboard album chart, and the band’s famed cover of “Bad Company” hit No. 1 on the rock chart.
