Switchfoot Book Gig on ‘Jimmy Kimmel’
Catch Switchfoot play their new track on ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!’ in September
Alternative rockers Switchfoot are back with a new album, ‘Vice Verses,’ out Sept. 27 on Atlantic Records, and the guys have just booked an appearance on “Jimmy Kimmel Live” on Monday, Sept. 19. The Grammy winners will perform, “Dark Horses,” the first single from, ‘Vices and Verses.’
Switchfoot upped the ante with their upcoming eighth studio release, working with famed producer (Sara Bareilles, Weezer) and recording the album mainly in their comfy, San Diego, Calif., home studio. Hip-hop heavyweight Mike Elizondo (Eminem, Dr. Dre, Pink), who produced Switchfoot’s 2009 release ‘Hello Hurricane,’ functioned as executive producer. And why not team up with Elizondo again? After all, ‘Hello Hurricane’ debuted No. 13 on the Billboard 200 at No. 13 and spawned modern rock hits “Mess of Me” and “The Sound (John M. Perkins’ Blues).”
The guys are already plotting a major U.S. tour in support of the new album alongside fellow Christian rock darling Anberlin. Find tour dates via Audio Ink Radio. Do you plan to make it out to a show?
