Anberlin and Switchfoot are Ready to Rock North America

Switchfoot are due for a cross-country tour, so why not team up with fellow Christian rockers Anberlin and make it one killer party? The duo recently announced just that: a full-fledged North American tour together, which kicks off Sept. 25 in New York City and takes the dudes through Michigan, Ohio, California, Texas and beyond before wrapping up Oct. 21 in Wichita, Kan. More tour dates are expected to be added.

Both camps are excited for the pair-up.

Switchfoot lead singer and guitarist Jon Foreman announced the news via his personal Twitter page: “Excited to tour with our friends in Anberlin…” Anberlin took to Facebook to spread the news: “We wanted to finally make it official and let you know that we will be doing a co-headline tour in the U.S. later this year with our longtime friends in Switchfoot.”

Switchfoot release a new album, ice Verses, on Sept. 27 via Atlantic Records. The album is the follow up to 2009’s Grammy-winning Hello Hurricane.
