Former Korn guitarist Brian ‘Head’ Welch to Tour with RED
Ex-Korn six-stringer hits the road with fellow Christian rock band RED
Former Korn guitarist Brian “Head” Welch has announced he will release a new single, “Paralyzed,” on Oct. 4, in conjunction with the music video that same day. The track, produced by Nashville’s Jasen Rauch formerly of RED, will be out on iTunes and other digital outlets. Welch will also tour with fellow Christian hard rockers RED in October.
Welch is asking fans to call local radio stations and request the track: “Use any means necessary to get the word out – word of mouth, fliers, and obviously Twitter, Facebook, Myspace and any other social sites out there!” he said in a statement, adding “this isn’t only about selling our music. There is a much higher purpose with what we do, so please help us pour some love into people’s lives.”
He went onto explain that he’s parted ways with his record label, Driven Music Group, and is “so excited to announce that a new chapter in my life is finally here and I’m so thankful that all of you can be a part of it. It feels amazing to be back in the studio and making new music! A new EP will be out early next year, and we cannot wait for you to hear what we’re working on. It is definitely some of the best music I’ve ever been a part of.”
Welsh and his “Head” project will headline the “Over My Head Tour” presented by Mocha Club this September alongside Project 86, Spoken and the Wedding. In October, he’ll continue on the road, this time with RED, Echoes the Fall and Icon for Hire. To keep up to date on tour dates, visit his official website.
“It’s [going to] be a long two-month tour, but I’m stoked because, for the first time ever, my daughter Jennea will be joining us on the road full-time! We’re really looking forward to seeing all of you on the road, so come on out to say what’s up and rock with us.”
