Wolves at the Gate Join Solid State Records Family
Wolves at the Gate are excited to share their message with a broader audience
Seattle-based Solid State Records — home of such metal and hardcore greats as Underoath, August Burns Red, Norma Jean and Living Sacrifice — have just added a new post-hardcore baby to the mix. Cedarsville, Ohio, quintet Wolves at the Gate are now officially part of the Solid State Records family. The band will release their Solid State debut, We Are the Ones, later this fall.
In the band’s video announce, Wolves at the Gate explained the signing and hinted at a major tour on the horizon. More importantly, the guys — including vocalist and guitarist Steve Cobucci, guitarist Jeremy Steckel, bass player Ben Summers, vocalist Colin Jones and drummer Ben Millhouse — stressed their eagerness to spread their faith-based message to a broader group of people.
“We want to let you guys know that we have a very exciting announcement, and the announcement is that we’ve officially been signed to Solid State Records,” they said, and after a round of cheering joked, “They should be excited! We’re supposed to be cool.”
They went onto explain what the band will be up to the next few months. “Seeing that we’ve signed to Solid State Records, we’re going to actually re-release the album, We Are the Ones, and we’re excited to be able to market that out to a much larger audience. Now that we’ve teamed up with Solid State, we’re just really excited for the future of the band, and we have a lot of neat things on the horizon regarding the album release.
“We’re going to be hitting the road here soon, and we’re very excited to get outside of this Tri-State area and see a lot of you guys who’ve been asking us to come play in states like Texas, Maryland, Seattle, Montana, New Mexico, Arizona, New Jersey, Maine…”
