Nickelback Release ‘Here and Now,’ Hit No. 1 on the Rock Singles Chart
Nickelback’s latest rock single, ‘Bottoms Up,’ is No. 1 on the rock chart
Canadian rock guys Nickelback release their latest studio album, the variety-packed Here and Now, today (Nov. 22). While they’ll have to wait a few days before the numbers start to roll in, those in camp Nickelback already have some early good news, as the band’s current rock single, “Bottoms Up,” is No. 1 on the active rock chart. The band’s pop single, “When We Stand Together,” is No. 12 on the hot adult-contemporary chart, so both songs are garnering some good reception.
Nickelback bring their hard rock sounds to Jimmy Kimmel Live! tonight, and then they head to Detroit to play the 13th annual United Way Thanksgiving Halftime Show at the first game of the NFL’s triple-header. The game, featuring the Detroit Lions against the Green Bay Packers, kicks off 12:30 p.m. ET on FOX on Thanksgiving Day. As for charity work, Nickelback — in partnership with Roadrunner Records and United Way Worldwide — will donate a quarter to United Way education programs for every individual who takes United Way’s pledge between now and Dec. 31, 2011, to become a volunteer reader, mentor or tutor for education. Sign up at the United Way website.
What fans are really wondering is when Nickelback will finally make it out on a world tour. According to Roadrunner, Chad Kroeger and his circle will tour in support of, Here and Now, in early 2012, with tour dates to drop any day now. In the meantime, find Audio Ink Radio’s reviews of Nickelback singles, “Bottoms Up,” and, “When We Stand Together,” on the artist page.
