Underworld: Awakening soundtrack brings together a collection of dark sounds
The new Underworld sequel, Underworld: Awakening, hits theaters Jan. 20, and with it comes another chapter in the film’s popular soundtrack series. For the latest installment, Lakeshore Records has rallied a collection of dark-sounding rock and metal artists including Evanescence, Lacey Sturm (of Christian hard rock band Flyleaf), Linkin Park, Lacuna Coil, Black Light Burns (featuring Wes Borland of Limp Bizkit), the Naked and Famous and more.
Producer Danny Lohner, also known as “Renholder,” contributed various remixes to the soundtrack from the likes of Evanescence, the Cure, Ministry and Linkin Park, among others. Former Filter guitarist Geno Lenardo also lent his talents to tracks featuring Sturm, Stella Katsoudas and Ryan T. Hope. The Underworld: Awakening soundtrack reaches retail stores and online outlets Jan. 17.
