Chevelle, Middle Class Rut and Janus Book 2012 U.S. Tour [Dates]
Hard rock band Chevelle tap Middle Class Rut and Janus for upcoming jaunt
Chevelle have solidified plans for a North American headlining tour, and they’re taking along fellow Chicago hard rock act Janus and Sacramento, Calif., alternative rock duo Middle Class Rut. The jaunt begins Friday, Feb. 24, in Grand Rapids, Mich., and continues for 16 dates before finishing in Oklahoma City, Okla., Friday, March 16.
Chevelle are touring in support of their sixth studio album, “Hats off to the Bull,” which entered the Billboard 200 Albums chart No. 19 in December of 2011. The trio did a short U.S. tour in December to promote the album, and this is the official, big Chevelle tour.
Middle Class Rut are currently promoting their 2010 release, “No Name No Color,” which spawned the No. 12 alternative rock radio hit, “New Low.” Vocalist and guitarist Zack Lopez tells Audio Ink Radio that when he looks back on 2011, he’s just happy for the chance to make a living playing music. “I’m most thankful to be able to do what I’m doing,” Lopez said. “I’m generally a pretty miserable guy. [Laughs] Whenever I stop and think about what it is that I do every month, I’m pretty grateful and thankful to be able to do this and to be not miserable doing something else!” (Courtesy photo: In De Goot Entertainment.)
