The Black Keys Announce Second Leg of North American Tour [Dates]
The Black Keys add new stops to U.S. tour
Here’s some good news for fans of the Black Keys: The Ohio-based punk blues band have unveiled a fresh round of North American tour dates that kick off in April, and they’re taking alternative band Arctic Moneys with them. Fan pre-sale for most dates starts at 10 a.m. local time tomorrow (Jan. 10). Find the tour dates for the second leg of the trek, below.
The Black Keys are out in support of their latest full-length, “El Camino,” which entered the Billboard 200 chart at No. 2 last month. The set features layers of fuzz guitars, backing singers, tambourines, hand claps and organs, with the Keys’ trademark eclectic vibe. Read our review of the album on the reviews page.
The duo are also on the cover of Rolling Stone magazine this month, talking about the new album and their thoughts on today’s music industry. “El Camino” was also voted the No. 3 album of 2011 in the latest Rolling Stone Readers’ Poll, with the magazine giving them praise: “The Black Keys’ El Camino just hit stores this month, but that didn’t stop a huge number of you from throwing your support behind it as your favorite of the year. It’s not too surprising – if you love this band, this record just pushes everything that’s great about them to the next level.”
