Alternative rock band 311 plan Las Vegas gig for ‘311 Day’

“Come Original” and “Love Song” rockers 311 are mapping out a busy 2012. From Las Vegas gigs to a Caribbean cruise, fans will find a few interesting venues in which to catch the gents over the next few months.

For starters, the American alternative rock band will celebrate “311 Day” with duel gigs March 10 and 11 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. The shows will each present comprehensive, 3-hour-long set lists, “state-of-the-art production” and all the alt-rock hits. Tickets are currently available via Ticketmaster’s official website.

Then, in May, 311 will once again hop on board the “311 Caribbean Cruise,” offering a full-fledged cruise featuring the sounds of 311, plus some of their friends. For a band that has such a feel-good, summer vibe, the cruise idea fits pretty perfectly. That voyage will take off May 10 from Miami and travel to Half Moon Cay through May 14. 311 plan to rock out four shows during the cruise, including one beach-side concert. Other acts scheduled to perform on the cruise include the Dirty Heads, Trailer Park Ninjas, Shwayze & Cisco, Ballyhoo, 2 Skinnee J’s, Shootyz Groove, Passafire, Full Service, Outlaw Nation, DJ Soulman, DJ Trichrome, Exes of Evil and Moral Defect. In total, that’s 13 bands, 2 DJs and 2 days on a private island in the Bahamas. For more information on the Caribbean cruise, head to the cruise’s official site.
