Blaqk Audio, the electronic/new wave project featuring Davey Havok and Jade Puget of California-based alternative punk group AFI, have inked with Superball Music. Expect the duo’s upcoming sophomore album, “Bright Black Heaven,” to arrive this fall through their new imprint, Big Death, which will get distribution through Superball.

Superball features a roster of metal and rock groups, including Dredg, Six Gallery, Caesars Rome, Long Distance Calling, Oceansize, the Amber Light, the Butterfly Effect and more.

“Signing Blaqk Audio and creating Big Death is a great way of expanding the horizon of Superball Music,” said Thomas Waber, label head of Superball. “Blaqk Audio are catchy and infectious and a great addition to our ever expanding roster.”

The guys of Blaqk Audio also issued a statement regarding the new partnership: “We are thrilled to be partnering with Superball Music for the release of Bright Black Heaven and the premiere of Big Death. To be supported by a label built by true music fans is a refreshing pleasure. Together, we will bring our version of heaven to the world.”

To get fans pumped for the new album, Blaqk Audio are offering a free download of “Bliss,” one of the new songs that will arrive on “Bright Black Heaven.” The song is currently available via Super Ball’s official website. (Blaqk Audio photo via Superball Music.)
