Linkin Park’s Mike Shinoda says fans can support victims for Sandy by donating to the band’s Music for Relief organization

Linkin Park have a lengthy history of supporting those in need, and now, the guys are asking their fans to help those impacted by Hurricane Sandy. Speaking in a video interview with AXSLive, rapper and multi-instrumentalist Mike Shinoda explained how fans can give support to victims of the horrific storm by donating money to Linkin Park’s non-profit organization, Music for Relief.

“I was talking to the fans the next morning and they…uploaded some pictures that were horrendous, stuff under water and cars, like, basically just demolished, destroyed by the hurricane,” Shinoda said. “I know that a lot of fans from all over the place are looking for ways to help out so that’s why we’re trying to spread the word about Music for Relief.”

Music for Relief is a project by Linkin Park that brings the music community together to create awareness and raise funds for those in need. The goal of the organization is to provide relief to victims of natural disasters and bring awareness to global warming. To make a donation or learn more, head to MusicforRelief.org.
