The Lumineers to Perform on ‘Saturday Night Live’ in January
Alternative folk band the Lumineers are set to make their debut performance on ‘SNL’
Last weekend’s episode of “Saturday Night Live” featured a performance from Paul McCartney and the surviving members of Nirvana, and now, the Lumineers are set to appear on the popular sketch comedy show as the musical guest.
The Denver-based alternative folk band is scheduled to make their “Saturday Night Live” debut on Jan. 19, 2013, according to a tweet from the show, alongside host, actress Jennifer Lawrence. Lawrence stars in the Golden Globe-nominated film “Silver Linings Playbook,” which is in theaters now. Expect the group to perform tracks from their 2012 self-titled debut album during their appearance.
The Lumineers’ big, 2012 breakout single is the neo-folk ditty “Ho Hey,” and the track is currently No. 4 on Nielsen’s BDS Alternative Radio chart. The band recently released a follow-up single, “Stubborn Love,” which is just now entering the chart.
