Alternative rockers Yeah Yeah Yeahs announce spring 2013 release for new album
New music from indie rockers Yeah Yeah Yeahs is on the way. The band tweeted the news that they’ll be releasing their fourth studio album next year, saying, “DNA upgrades, spontaneous evolution and NEW YEAH YEAH YEAHS RECORD ARRIVING SPRING 2013! finally.”
The as-yet-untitled new album will be the follow-up to the Karen O-fronted band’s 2009 release, “It’s Blitz!” Buoyed by the single “Zero,” the album was well-received by critics and nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Alternative Music Album.
As for Yeah Yeah Yeahs tour news, the Karen O-fronted band has booked a handful of overseas tour dates in support of the upcoming album set for January. Tour dates for a North American trek are expected to be announced soon.
