Alkaline Trio Post New Song Featuring Rise Against Singer Tim McIlrath
A new track from Alkaline Trio features Rise Against crooner Tim McIlrath
Fans of alternative punk-pop are surely counting down the moments until Alkaline Trio release their latest full-length, “My Shame Is True.” The set is schedule to arrive on April 2, and to help get fans pumped up for the release, the group has posted a video featuring a new track from the album, “I, Pessimist,” which features guest vocals a la Rise Against frontman Tim McIlrath.
The short clip is up at Rolling Stone’s official website, and it shows the band practicing and playing the song with McIlrath in the studio.
Alkaline Trio have plans to take “My Shame is True” on the road this year, as the guys will set off on a tour that sets off on April 25 at the Observatory in Santa Ana, Calif., and stays on track through a June 11 gig at the House of Blues in West Hollywood, Calif. The trek makes stops in Arizona, Texas, Florida, Nevada, North Carolina, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Georgia and beyond. Openers include Bayside and Off with their Heads.
