Supergroup the Transplants will release their third studio album this spring
The Transplants – the punk-meets-rap supergroup featuring Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker and Rancid ’s Tim Armstrong – haven’t popped out any new music for about eight years, but that’s all about the change. The band has announced via their official Facebook page that they are set to release their third studio set, called “In a Warzone,” this May.
The band’s message about the upcoming release was short but sweet: “’In a Warzone’ is the title of our new album. Out in May.”
The Transplants’ last album, “Haunted Cities,” entered the Billboard 200 chart at No. 28 in 2005, selling 34,000 copies in its first week, according to Nielsen SoundScan’s tally. To keep up with news on the Transplants, head to the group’s official website.
In Blink-182 news, the band released a five-song digital EP late last year, titled “Dogs Eating Dogs,” featuring the songs “Boxing Day,” “Dogs Eating Dogs,” “Disaster,” “When I Was Young” and “Pretty Little Girl.”
