Kiss and Hello Kitty to Team Up for Children’s TV Show
Classic rockers Kiss and Hello Kitty are joining forces for a new children’s TV show on The Hub Network
Rock band Kiss and Hello Kitty products may not seem like a match made in heaven, but the combination will soon be a reality. The Kiss and Hello Kitty franchises have signed on to put together a new animated TV series. The cartoon, which totes the appropriate working title of “KISS Hello Kitty,” is being created for the children’s cable TV channel The Hub Network.
Expect a family-friendly program which will follow the adventures of four Kiss-themed feline characters that are “living their rock ‘n’ roll dreams and bringing pink anarchy to every situation they are in.”
“The Hub Network is the perfect home for the TV show, ‘KISS Hello Kitty,’” said Kiss singer and bass player Gene Simmons, who is also one of the show’s executive producers, in a statement. “We are incredibly excited about this opportunity and want to make all our millions of fans worldwide proud of a show they can watch with the whole family.”
“Knowing and viewing The Hub as I do daily with my three children, it is the perfect home for us to bring the ‘KISS Hello Kitty’ juggernaut to yet another generation,’ added Kiss singer and guitarist Paul Stanley.
