Soundgarden Bass Player Ben Shepherd to Release Solo Album

Ben Shepherd of Soundgarden readying debut solo release
Soundgarden bass player Ben Shepherd is stepping out with his debut solo album. The release, named “In Deep Owl,” is due out this summer, and bass player says the new album will be released under his initials, HBS.
The upcoming album will feature some big names, to boot. SPIN reports that “In Deep Owl” will offer guest appearances from Soundgarden drummer Matt Cameron and former Pearl Jam drummer Matt Chamberlain.
Curious? Fans can preview a track off the upcoming album called “Baron Robber” via Shepherd’s official Soundcloud page. The track can also be streamed below.
“In Deep Owl” will drop on Aug. 27. The release can be pre-ordered via the project’s Bandcamp page.
