David Draiman Cancels Device Tour to Stay Home with Pregnant Wife
David Draiman pulls the plug on upcoming Device shows to stay close to his pregnant wife
Fans hoping to catch Disturbed frontman David Draiman’s latest tour with his side band Device will be sorry to hear that Draiman has pulled the plug on all of the group’s tour dates through October. Draiman’s wife — model, actress and wrestler Lena Yada — is suffering some complications with her current pregnancy, so the time off the road will give him a chance to be by her side throughout her pregnancy.
“Due to complications with his wife’s pregnancy, David has chosen to stay close to home until the baby is born,” the band said in a statement via Facebook. “All scheduled tour dates between now and the due date of the first week in October have been canceled.”
Draiman followed up the band’s announcement with his own statement. “Thanks to everyone for the well wishes,” he wrote on Device’s Facebook page. “Lena and baby are ok, just a rough time in the home stretch. Needed to be here for them. Thanks for understanding.”
Draiman previously stated via Twitter that the couple’s first baby, a boy, would be named Samuel Bear Draiman.
As of right now, Device’s next live show is schedule for Nov. 8 at Hovet in Stockholm, Sweden.
