The Rolling Stones, Mumford & Sons Make Match.com and Spotify Pre-Date Soundtrack
Adults surveyed by Match.com name the Rolling Stones, Mumford & Sons among favorite bands to jam to getting ready for a date
Online dating website Match.com and digital music service Spotify have teamed up to create the ultimate first-date playlist. In the new survey, Match.com asked over 1,100 singles about their date-night music preferences and specific artists they jam to while prepping for a big date.
The survey found that 57 percent of men listen to classic rock, while 54 percent of women opt to blast pop and top 10 hits. As for what to listen to during the date, both men and women enjoy classic rock music in the background of a date, while both sexes agree that country, rap and heavy metal are no-nos.
Music, apparently, is a big deal when it comes to prepping for a date. In the survey, 78 percent of single men and women indicated that listening to music is a major part of what they do while getting ready for a date.
The polling resulted in a Spotify playlist of artists that polled most popular in the survey, named “All Amped Up: The Single Best List of Pre-date Anthems.” The Rolling Stones, Daft Punk and Mumford & Sons all made the list. Check out the full roster of tunes below.
