Duff McKagan of Guns N’ Roses, Velvet Revolver to Deliver CBGB Festival Keynote Speech

The 2013 CBGB Music & Film Festival Conference happens Oct. 3 through 13

This year’s CBGB Music & Film Festival Conference will take place in October, and some big names have inked on to participate in the event. Former Guns N’ Roses bass player, current Velvet Revolver bass player and current Loaded frontman Duff McKagan has agreed to deliver the Music Festival Keynote speech at the event, which will take place Oct. 3 through 13 at over 150 locations throughout the New York City area.

Of course, the legendary CBGB club was all about live music, and the CBGB Music & Film Festival Conference will offer plenty of lives tunes. The lineup for the second annual show features performances from Atlas Genius, Bleeding Hearts, Loose Buttons, Cream drummer Ginger Baker and Lisa Loeb, to name a few. On top of music, the much-anticipated “CBGB” movie will premiere during the event’s opening day at the Landmark Sunshine Theater in Manhattan. Following the premiere, “CBGB: The Movie” will open in movie theaters across North America on Oct. 11.
