Jack White and the Raconteurs’ Brendan Benson to Perform at Benefit Concert
Jack White and Raconteurs’ Brendan Benson will reunite for a concert to benefit the David Lynch Foundation
Remember the indie rock supergroup of sorts featuring Jack White of the White Stripes, Brendan Benson and a few members of the Greenhornes? Well, two members of the band – White and Benson – will be reuniting at a special benefit concert at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, Tenn., on Dec. 18.
The event, called “Brendan Benson and Friends,” will Benson and White performing with a collection of high-profile musicians, including producer Butch Walker, R.E.M. collaborator Ken Stringfellow and founding Animals frontman Eric Burdon. Proceeds from the event, which is being presented by the David Lynch Foundation, will go towards veterans and children in the Nashville area. Tickets for “Brendan Benson and Friends” will be available starting Friday at www.Ticketmaster.com.
Benson is currently readying his sixth studio album, “You Were Right,” which is due out sometime this November.
