Deftones Starting Work on New Music
Deftones have started to write their follow-up to 2012’s ‘Koi No Yokan’
Deftones released their latest full-length album in 2012, “Koi No Yokan,” so they’ll soon be duo for some new tunes. Speaking backstage at Australia’s Soundwave festival with Soundwave TV, Deftones frontman Chino Moreno dropped the news that while he hasn’t started working on new music, the rest of the band is already moving forward.
“The other guys (have),” he said. “I’m excited to see what they’ve done so far and I’m going to check in with them next week. When we make records, we don’t plan out the records we’re going to make…we react to each other.”
In other Deftones news, the band just booked a handful of concerts in Texas following their stint on this year’s Rocklahoma festival on May 23 in Pryor, Okla. View the band’s full upcoming itinerary below.
