A new documentary called ‘Inside Metal’ will chronicle modern metal’s start on the Sunset Strip of Los Angeles

The modern metal movement was born on the Sunset Strip of Los Angeles, and some metal music-loving film producers think that story needs to be told. A new film called “Inside Metal” is set to document that headbanging metal scene and bring that tale of the birth of contemporary metal to the masses.

“Inside Metal” will feature interviews about the early days of metal and what bands bloomed out of the scene, including Metallica, Ratt, Dokken, Megadeth, W.A.S.P., Quiet Riot and Great White. Interested parties may stream the film’s official trailer via Metalrock Films’ official YouTube channel.

The film is all wrapped up, but additional funds are needed to help with the movie’s promotion, marketing and distribution. Therefore, producers of “Inside Metal” are asking fans to donate to the cause and, in turn, those fans will receive some film goodies, including bumper stickers, signed guitars gold record awards and, if you donate enough, associate producer credits.

For more on the film, visit the “Inside Metal” website.
