Proceeds from VIP packages for Slipknot’s Knotfest will go to a good cause

Slipknot are gearing up for this year’s Knotfest, which takes places later this month, and Corey Taylor and the band have joined forces with the Unite the United Foundation to offer VIP tickets for the event. Funds raised from the packages will support the Metal of Honor Program and Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America (IAVA).

Those who opt for the VIP tickets will have special access to watch certain Knotfest performers on the side of the stage. Different packages offer the chance to watch different performances up close, including Slipknot, Black Label Society, Anthrax and Volbeat.

Packages may be purchased via an auction on eBay, which runs through 7 p.m. PT on Oct. 16. Knotfest is set for Oct. 24-26 in San Bernardino, Calif., and will feature the previously mentioned performers, as well as more than 60 national metal and hard rock bands, including Slipknot, Five Finger Death Punch, Danzig, Killswitch Engage, Tech N9ne, Of Mice & Men, Testament, Hatebreed, Atreyu and more In This Moment.
